Just downloaded the [paypal_button] plugin and I’m very glad to have it. Thank you for your efforts. However, using the “donate” aspects of the button in association with my own button image, I discovered that either due to a faulty download of the plugin OR a very small omission in the code that the text “onclick=”return adjustPayPalQuantity622(this);”>” showed up on the rendered page. After I put an opening < before the word "onclick," all is well now. Thought you'd like to know :-).

Well now I’m in a bit of trouble! I’m very glad your comments are automatically in moderation. I could not find how to send a private request for help on the PayPal plugin. The plugin isn’t working? I’m very new at this and don’t know .php at all. After my last email where I said all is well, I tried to use the button and although the page is displaying correctly (without the “onclick” text showing), and even sending me to PayPal’s webscr, the screen at PayPal is totally blank (white). Could it be I’ve tested the page too often and I’m getting a time out from PayPal? Do they do that? I’m so sorry to cause so much trouble. Your help would be most appreciated.
Can you send me your link?
Hello, you’re up late! I can’t send a link because I’m working on localhost (my computer) using Microsoft’s WebMarix (so my online site isn’t down during this remodel). I Googled the “white screen at PayPal” problem and someone there suggested resetting the WordPress Permalink. Do you think that would help?
I never came across such a problem. I guess, you are not redirected to correct paypal address which might be causing blank screen. Verify where should you go and where you are actually redirected.
If button echoing “onclick….” I doubt that you might be using or omitting ” or ‘ (single quote or double quote in your buttons settings. Please double check your text.
I was able to grab the html from my existing online donation page and finally make it work in this WordPress .php theme. Please don’t spend any more time working on my problem. I’ll go with this. Thank you SO much for your time.
OM and Prem,
I even tried downloading the plugin again; also making sure no editing while activated. Only edit has been to add that carat before the word ‘onclick.’ No issues with single or double quotes. Haven’t changed a thing there. Can duplicate and “fix” the “onclick” rendered text error over and over. Adding the < before the word 'onclick' solves that problem. Checked address to PayPal in plugin, is correct. In address field, also, after clicking button, URL is correct for PayPal but get white screen. What's odd is several times, I DID successfully get directed to PayPal and could have entered a donation! But now, no. Arghhh.
Excellent plugin. However, I can’t make use of the ‘quantity’ option – doesn’t change anything. Also, is there any promo codes options?
This is the shortcode I use:
[paypal_button type=”paynow” quantity=”1,2″ amount=’99’ quantity_txt_postfix=”items”]
sorry, it works. But how about promo codes ?
Nop. not supported yet. Sorry!
Hi there , do I need to place a particular code on a page for a customised buy now button ? I have added the URL to the button but it seems to be still showing the paypal buy for now button
Yes, with shortcode attributes you can customize the button looks and functionality. You can visit documentation page for examples.
Thank you very for for this cool plugin.
Could you please show me a simple example on how i can have a drop down list with different price?
I offer photography session and have 2 price for weekdays and weekend.
Thanks Fred for the compliment.
Unfortunately, This plugin does not support multiple prices but a quantity dropdown which cause payment amount to be multiple of specified base amount. But two different prices are not supported yet.
Thank you for the quick reply:)
